It is a simple idea, but one of those key differences that makes all the difference. We all know the traditional process life cycle: design the process, automate it, measure performance, and cycle around to improve the design. Instead, we should completely throw the old process life cycle. Don’t design a process, but instead give people a tool they use to get work done.
